My background is in art. I’ve always been creative, and can remember as a child spending hours sketching and colouring in my aunt’s art studio.
As a teen I became obsessed with fashion and searching for beautiful photos from magazines which I would curate into mood boards and spent the next decade working in Asia’s cutting edge fashion design houses. The story of About Green, however, starts in New York. I was expanding my career in fashion marketing by studying at the Parsons Design school where I incidentally found myself in a florist studio in Manhattan. That afternoon, I completely connected with the medium of flowers and found a new creative obsession. Since that life changing moment 15 years ago, I’ve been collaborating with some of the greatest floral designers in the world – from Europe through Asia and of course, New York, where my journey as a florist designer began – and I have been teaching others the fine art of floral design. I’m really pleased to be able to bring an internationally flavoured florist design experience to Melbourne with About Green.
